Reference: Area and Line Chart Settings

When a data point has no value on an area or line chart, no data point displays for the empty point. The line skips over the empty point.

Breakdown	Type
Breakdown	Dimension	Available when you select Dimension for Type . Specifies what to use for the dimension breakdown.

General	Pin Time (blue)	Set a fixed time period based on the selected strata. Example: For Stratum select: Month . Then, for: Single Period spans, set a specific date. Example: May 2017. Range spans, select the start and end dates. Example: May 2017 to June 2017 .
General	Unpin Time (gray)	Set time relative to the reference period displayed on the perspective toolbar and based on the selected strata. Current : Matches the date selected for the perspective. Backwards : Adjusts backward from the perspective date by the number that you enter. Forwards : Adjusts forward from the perspective date by the number that you enter. For Single Period time spans, set the relative time for the chart. For Range time spans, set the relative time for the start and end of the range.
