Type
Indicates how the value relates to previous periods of time:
  • Cumulative
    : The value accumulates period to period.
  • Periodic
    : The value in any given time period equals the net activity for that period.
  • Link
    (unavailable for rollup accounts): The value in modeled or cube accounts populate the values of this account.

Time Rollup
Read-only. Explains how the time rollup aggragates data:
  • Sum of rolled up values
    (periodic accounts): Sums all the values for the period. Example: Sums January through March for the first quarter rollup.
  • Value in last time period
    (cumulative accounts): Takes the value in last period and does not sum. Example: Displays the accumulated value of ending headcount.
Level/Dimension Rollup
Available for linked accounts.
Sum of rolled up values
: Sums all the values for the level or dimension. Example: Sums the expenses for each department.

Balance Types
For built-in accounts: Read-only. Follows standard accounting practices.
For other accounts: When the balance type is opposite of the root, the account is a contra account and reduces the rollup value.

  • Any additional exchange rates types that you have created for your model.
