Create Modeled Sheet Links

Sales planning takes place in a separate instance from your finance model. You can synchronize sales and finance modeled sheets by linking from one to another across instances or within the same instance. You can link from sales sheets to finance sheets, which updates your sales data with the finance data. Or you can create bi-directional links between sales and financing.

Links require a receiving sheet that pulls data and a sending sheet that delivers data:

Receiving Sheet

The sheet you link from is a receiving sheet. This is where you want updated data to appear.
A receiving sheet always pulls updated data when you refresh.
A receiving sheet can have more than one sending sheet.

Sending Sheet

A sheet you link to is a sending sheet. Sending sheets deliver their data to receiving sheets.
Multiple sending sheets can deliver data to a receiving sheet.
You can only refresh or pull data into a receiving sheet from one sending sheet at a time.

After you create a link, when you view the receiving sheet from the Sheets menu, the

Refresh from another sheet

button appears on the receiving sheet. When you select this button you select which sending sheet to pull data from. You can also select the version of the sending sheet.
