(+) and (-) Formula Syntax
Question
What does the (+) and (-) syntax
mean when used in a formula level reference?Answer
If the chosen level modifier in a
formula is a parent level, you have the choice to include data from the level and all
levels underneath it, or just the level itself.- Use the (+) syntax when you need the data for all levels that roll up to the parent level, including the parent (only) level.
- Use the (-) syntax when you need to reference data at the parent level (only), the (-) indicates NOT to roll up the values.
