Reference: Clearing Data in Cells
When you clear data, it can result in:
- Blanks.
- Zeros.
Zeros and blanks act differently in formulas that reference the cells.
For level drop-down cells and text selectors in modeled sheets, the only way to clear
a cell of the current data is to select a different option.
Clearing Method | Result |

Refresh button | For unsaved data only in white or blue cells. Reverts to
original data. |

from shared formulas. |

the rollup cell and all contributing cells. |

the row. |
