Attach Files on Associated Intercompany Journals

Attach Files on Associated Intercompany Journals

  • Set up financial accounting structure.
  • Set up journal sources.
  • Configure the
    Accounting Journal Event
business process and security policy in the Financial Accounting functional area.
Workday copies files attached on an intercompany accounting journal to any associated child intercompany accounting journals. Displaying the attached files on the child journals provides associated companies:
  • A strong audit trail.
  • Increased accountability.
You can also restrict access to the attached files on the child intercompany journals. Restriction prevents users in companies you specify from accessing the attached files.
  1. Access the
    Edit Tenant Setup - Financials
    task.
    Select
Copy Attachments to Intercompany Accounting Journals
    .
  2. Access the
    Create Journal
    or
    Create Recurring Journal Template
    task.
On at least 1 of your
    Journal Entry Lines
, select a company that differs from your header company. Only companies you select are available on the
    Companies Without Access
    prompt.
  3. Add a file on the
    Attachments
    tab.
  4. (Optional) Select the companies you don't want to have access on the
    Companies Without Access
    prompt.
Users in companies on associated intercompany accounting journals can view the attached files. You can't view an attachment if your company is 1 of the
Companies Without Access
.
