Steps: Set Up Machine Learning Recommendations for Worktags

You must subscribe to Innovation Services to use this feature. Contact your Customer Success Manager to request the Innovation Services Addendum (ISA), or see Workday Innovation Services in the Workday Community for more information.
  • To train the supplier invoice automation worktag recommendation model, you need a minimum of 3,000 historical manual supplier invoices.
  • Configure the Innovation Services functional area and configure security policy permissions for these domains:
    • Manage: Innovation Services
    • View: Innovation Services
You can enable machine learning recommendations for cost center, location, and region on supplier invoice lines. This innovation service feature increases the efficiency of the supplier invoice process and reduces the number of miscategorized invoices.
  1. Access the
    Enable Machine Learning for Financials
     report.
    1. In the
      Innovation Service Opt-In
       tab, select the
      Financial Management Machine Learning GA Features
       service check box.
    2. In the
      Data Select Opt-In
       tab, select the
      Supplier Invoice Data
       check box.
    3. In the
      Feature Availability Status
       tab, verify that the Supplier Invoice Data feature status is
      In Progress
      . It takes up to 2 weeks to display the supplier invoice worktag recommendations in your tenant. Workday then displays a status of
      Available
      .
    Security:
    Manage: Innovation Services
     domain in the Innovation Services functional area.
  2. Access the
    Maintain Machine Learning Prompt Recommendations
     task.
    1. On the initiation page, select the
      Accounts Payable
       product area.
    2. In the
      Supplier Invoices
       grid, select the
      Enable Machine Learning Recommendations
       check box for the worktag types you want to receive recommendations for.
    Security:
    Set Up: Tenant Setup - Financials
     domain in the System functional area.
  3. Access
    Maintain Worktag Usage
    .
    1. Select
      Supplier Invoice
      .
    2. Click
      Edit Worktag Usage
      .
    3. In the
      Primary Worktags Type
       grid, add the worktag types you want to receive machine learning recommendations for.
      You can only add a worktag type under either
      Primary Worktag Types
       or
      Additional Worktag Types
      . If a worktag type you want to include under
      Primary Worktag Types
       is included under
      Additional Worktag Types
      , delete it from
      Additional Worktag Types
       first.
Workday displays the
Recommended
 option and recommendations for
Cost Center
,
Location
, and
Region
 worktags on supplier invoice lines.
