Steps: Set Up Workday Benchmarking Subcategory Security
You can set up segment-based security to control access to benchmarks and actuals in
specific subcategories. Example: You can set up segment-based security to give an HR
executive visibility of benchmarks and actuals for selected HR benchmark
subcategories.
- Create a new unconstrained security group or use an existing one, and add users to the group.
- Access theCreate Benchmark Subcategory Security Segmenttask.Select the subcategories to include in the security segment.Security:Benchmark Managementdomain in the Benchmarking functional area.
- Create Segment-Based Security Groups.Create a new segment-based security group, and add:
- The unconstrained security group.
- The security segment for the benchmark subcategory.
- Add the segment-based security group to theBenchmark Valuesdomain.
- (Optional) To grant access to the tenant actual values, add the unconstrained security group to theActual Values for Benchmarkingdomain.
The segment-based security group members can only see benchmarks and actuals for those
subcategories you add to the security segment for the benchmark subcategory. You can
use the
Delete Benchmark Subcategory Security Segment
task to
delete a segment if it isn't used in any security groups.
