Description
TODAY
is a scalar function that returns the current system date and
time as a date
value (no time information). It can be used in other
expressions involving Date
type fields, such as
YEAR_DIFF
. Note that the value of TODAY
is only
evaluated at the time a dataset is published (it is not re-evaluated with each
query).Syntax
TODAY

Returns the current system date (no time) as a
date
value.Examples
Calculate a user's age using
YEAR_DIFF
to subtract the value of the
birthdate
field from the current date:YEAR_DIFF(TODAY(), [birthdate])
Calculate the number of days since a product's release using
DAYS_BETWEEN
to subtract the value of the release_date
