Steps: Set Up Contact Roles on Supplier Portal
Set up the Supplier Portal.
You can create and assign roles for supplier
contacts to
audit and manage their access to Supplier Portal tasks. You can also configure
separate security domains for individual tasks in the Supplier Portal and assign
specific supplier contacts to each task. This reduces potential fraudulent updates
to your supplier data.
- Create a role for the supplier contact.
- Create a constrained security group, and select the role you created from theAssignable Roleprompt.
- Access theCreate Security Policy for Domaintask.
- Create a security policy for each of these tasks that you want to secure separate from the parent domain:
- Create Alternate Name.
- Create Classifications.
- Create Contact Information.
- Create Settlement Bank Account.
- From theFor Domainfield, select from these domains to configure supplier contact access to the corresponding tasks:
- Process: Supplier Portal Alternate Name
- Process: Supplier Portal Classifications
- Process: Supplier Portal Contact Information
- Process: Supplier Portal Settlement Bank Account
- From theSecurity Groupsprompt in theReport/Task Permissionsgrid, select the role-based security group you created and add it to the corresponding security policy.
Security:Security Configurationdomain in the System functional area. - From the related actions menu of the supplier, select .Assign a role to the supplier contact.
