Steps: Set Up Award to Requisition Integrations
In Workday:
- Configure Single Sign-On (SSO). Sourcing owners and requesters must be workers in Workday. See Steps: Configure Single Sign-On (SSO) for Workday Solutions.
- Synchronize suppliers between Workday and Strategic Sourcing. See Steps: Set Up Supplier Connector for Strategic Sourcing.
- Configure a user-based unconstrained security group for the integration owner. See Create User-Based Security Groups.
In Strategic Sourcing:
- Ask your Customer Success Manager to enable these feature flags:
- award_wd_requisition
- project_line_items
- projects_workday_connector
- record_notifications
To automate the process of creating requisitions from awards in Strategic Sourcing, you can set
up and schedule integrations to:
- Check Strategic Sourcing for awards that are ready for requisition.
- Create corresponding requisitions in Workday, including any attachments from the award.
- In Workday, grant the security group that the integration owner is part of View access toReport/Task Permissionsfor theWorker Data: Public Worker Reportsdomain in the Staffing functional area.
- Edit the security policy for theRequisition Event (Default Definition)business process definition in the Procurement functional area.Grant the security group access to theInitiating ActionforCheckout (REST).
- Access theActivate Pending Security Policy Changestask.Security:
- Customer Central Security Administrationdomain in the Customer Central functional area.
- Security Activationdomain in the System functional area.
- Create an Integration System User (ISU) and grant the ISU Get and Put access to these domains:
- Integration Eventin the Integration functional area.

- From the related actions menu of the API client, access theManage Refresh Tokens for Integrationstask.From theWorkday Accountprompt, select your ISU.Generate a newRefresh Tokenand make a note of it.Security:Security Administrationdomain in the System functional area.
- Access theMaintain API Keystask.SelectStrategic Sourcing [API key type]and enter these values:
- Api Key: Enter the company-wide API token that you generated on your Strategic Sourcing profile.
- User Token: Enter the user-specific API token that you generated on your Strategic Sourcing profile.
- User Email: Enter the email address that you used on your Strategic Sourcing user profile.
Security:Security Administrationdomain in the System functional area. - From theNew Using Templateprompt, selectAward to Requisition (WSS).Enable theRequisitions from Workday Strategic Sourcingoptional service.
- From the related actions menu of the integration system, select .Enter the required integration attributes:OptionDescriptionRequisition Submission OptionSelect:
- Draftto create requisitions inDraftstatus so you can edit in Workday before submitting.
- Submitto submit requisitions automatically and initiate theRequisition Eventbusiness process.
- Auto Completeto submit and approve requisitions automatically.
Workday API Client IDEnter the client ID that you generated on theRegister API Client for Integrationstask.Workday API Client SecretEnter the client secret that you generated on theRegister API Client for Integrationstask.Workday API Refresh TokenEnter the refresh token that you generated on theManage Refresh Tokens for Integrationstask.Security: These domains in the Integration functional area:- Integration Build

- Set up a schedule to run the integration.
- In Strategic Sourcing, accessSettings.UnderCustomize Projects, selectGeneral Project.In theCustomize Projectsection, under , select theFinancial Companycheck box.
The integration is ready to retrieve award data from Strategic Sourcing.
