Steps: Set Up Education Test Results

You can:
  • Record education test results for prospects and students.
  • Configure how Workday displays education test results on prospect and student profiles.
  • Grant students access to see their education test results on their self-service profiles. See Steps: Set Up Student Self-Service.
  • Set up integration systems for importing test results. See Concept: Student Admissions Connectors.
On the
Test
prompt on the
Add Test Result
task, Workday displays recommendations for education tests, to save you time when adding test results. Workday uses machine learning to determine these recommendations based on a combination of your most recently used and most frequently used education tests. You can optionally disable the recommendations.
  1. Set up custom education tests or standardized tests not supported in Workday.
    To enable Workday to display the education test results on the student self-service profile, make the education test available for self-service.
    1. Grant security groups appropriate access to these domains in the Academic Foundation functional area:
      Domain
      Description
      Manage: Student Test Results
      Enables users to:
      • Add, edit, and delete education test results.
      • View education test results on the prospect profile.
      Student Data: External Records
      Enables users to view educational institution attendances, external transcripts, and education test results on the student profile.
    2. (Optional) Grant students self-service access to these domains in the Academic Foundation functional area:

      Enables students to view available education test results on their self-service profile.
      Student Data: Test Results
      Enables students to include their education test results on unofficial transcripts that they generate. See Steps: Set Up Student Transcripts.
  2. (Optional) Access the
    Configure Profile Group
    task.
    Configure profile groups to display external records.
    1. To display education and test results on the application of the prospect profile, select the
      Application for Student Prospect
      profile group and add the
      External Records
      report.
    2. To display test results on the student self-service profile, select the
      Academics for Student
      profile group and add the second
      External Records
      report.
      The profile group has 2 allowed reports named External Records. The default report displays education and test results on the student profile.

  3. (Optional) Configure integrations for importing education test results.
  4. (Optional) Access the
    Maintain Machine Learning Prompt Recommendations
    task.
    Disable machine learning recommendations for education tests when you add test results.
    1. From the
      Filter by Product Area
      prompt, select
      Student
      .
    2. In the
      Admissions
      section, clear the
      Enable Machine Learning Recommendations
      check box for the
      Test
      field.

Workday displays the
External Records
report on the:
  • Education profile group of the prospect profile.
  • Application profile group of the prospect profile, when you configure the profile group.
  • Academics profile group of the student profile.
Students with access to the
Self-Service: External Records
domain can view their education test results on their self-service profile. Workday displays only the test results for education tests that are available for self-service.
