Set Up Registration Appointments
- Configure these date controls for the academic period on theMaintain Academic Period Date Controlstask:
- Enrollment Window Start.
- Enrollment Window End.
- Security: These domains in the Student Records functional area:
- Self-Service: Registration.
- Set Up: Access to Registration.
During the enrollment window of each academic period, you can configure when different groups of students can register for courses. Setting up registration appointments enable you to provide priority registration to certain groups of students. Example: You grant the earliest registration appointments to fourth year students, helping them enroll in the last courses that they still need for graduation.
For optimum performance, Workday restricts appointments to 3,000 students within a 15-minute period.

Option Description Roll Over Registration Appointments From(Optional) Select the academic period or program of study from which you want to roll over registration appointments. Workday rolls over the exact registration appointments from the selected academic period or program of study. You can't roll over registration appointments for academic periods or programs of study that have been configured previously, even if they no longer contain appointments.Restrict by Enrollment Access PolicyWhen selected, students have access to only the courses defined by their enrollment access policy. This option is useful for students with multiple academic records.Example: Aaron Day is enrolled in both the Economics Major undergraduate and MBA graduate programs. You configure these registration appointments:- Economics Major undergraduate program students register on Monday.
- MBA graduate program students register on Wednesday.
Restrict by Enrollment Access Policycheck box for the Economics Major undergraduate program, Aaron can only register for undergraduate courses on Monday. On Wednesday, Aaron can register for both undergraduate and graduate courses.Eligibility RuleThe eligibility rule that you select determines the students who can register during an appointment. When students meet more than 1 eligibility criteria, Workday assigns the earliest appointment to them.Student Cohort eligibility rules apply to students who are members of the cohort as of the standard start date of the academic period.To use a condition rule as an eligibility rule, selectAcademic RecordforBusiness Objecton theCreate Student Condition Ruletask.Student OverflowWhen this value is more than 3,000, you can't configure theOpen Enrollment Startdate control on theMaintain Academic Period Date Controlstask.

- Academic plan.
- View My Registration Appointmentsreport.
- Preview card that they access from the related actions menu of the course.
