Manage Document Groups

Manage Document Groups

Upload documents to Contract Management and Document Intelligence.
You can organize and link related documents in Contract Management and Document Intelligence by groups. You can:
  • Create a new document group and add documents to it.
  • Add documents to an existing group.
Document groups help you:
  • Find documents more easily by organizing them into logical structures.
  • Assign projects more effectively by linking related documents such as agreements, amendments, MSAs, and supporting documents.
  • Streamline workflows for project management and tracking.
  1. Click
    Documents
    .
  2. (Optional) Select a folder.
  3. Select the check box for the document you want to add to a group.
  4. From the
    More
    menu on the document, select
    Add to Group
    .
  5. Add the document to a group.
    To add the document to:
    • An existing group, select a group. You can use the search bar to locate a group.
    • A new group, click
      New Group
. Enter a group name and notes for future identification.
  6. (Optional) You can select a parent file on the
    Structure
    page.
You must designate a parent file in the group before you can make a selection. If you do not select a parent file:
    • The group structure remains flat, and the document will not inherit any hierarchical relationships.
    • You can assign a parent file at a later stage if needed.
After you add documents to your group, we return you to the document folder. To manage views, See Create Custom View.
We display the documents in the group in a parent-child relationship tree.
You can undo a parent-child document relationship without removing it from the document group. Select the document check box, and from the
Actions
menu, select
Detach from parent file
.
