Set Up Docusign for E-Signatures

Set Up Docusign for E-Signatures

  • Configure a paid, Docusign with API capabilities. This account can't be an FDA Part 11 account or a free account.
  • Set up the Docusign account to sign in to Docusign. See Concept: E-Signature Account Types.
  • Enable Workflow in the Contract Management and Document Intelligence account to access the E-Signature section.
You can streamline contract management and automate e-signature collection by integrating Docusign with Contract Management and Document Intelligence. You can integrate only 1 e-signature solution with a unique Contract Management and Document Intelligence account.
  1. Click
    Admin.
  2. Click
    Integrations
    .
  3. On the
    3rd Party Integrations
    tab, click
    Connect
    for Docusign.
  1. On the Workflow tab, open an active ticket that has reached the
    Sign
    stage.
  2. Click
    Collect Signatures
    .
  3. Prepare the document for signature. Depending on the type of Docusign account, when collecting signatures, coordinators sign in:
    1. Individual accounts manually every time a contract is sent for electronic signature.
    2. Company accounts automatically using the account of the company.
  4. Send the document for signature.
  5. Docusign emails the signatories in the order listed on the
    Sign
page. Once signatories sign the document, Docusign moves the document from the
    Sign
    stage to indicate execution.
Counterparty signatory information pre-populates from the intake form or from e-signature tags. These tags enable the recipient of the signature request to reassign envelopes to appropriate signatories and update the signature block with the newly assigned signatory's information.
Internal signatories are predefined in each workflow. You can replace them with any internal signatory associated with that workflow. These fields can also use e-signature tags, enabling the recipient of the signature request to reassign envelopes to appropriate signatories and update the signature block with the new signatory's information.
Contract Lifecycle Management Workflow automatically places signatures on documents sent through Contract Management and Document Intelligence. When you configure the
Signers
and
Parties
fields with e-Sign tags, recipients can reassign envelopes to the correct signatories and the signature block will populate with the new signatory's information. Otherwise,, the signing coordinator must manually place signatures in Docusign before sending the document for signature.
