Concept: Email Delivery
This topic provides details on how to ensure workers receive emails from Workday Peakon
Employee Voice (WPEV).
WPEV sends emails using Amazon Web Services (AWS), specifically Simple Email Service (AWS
SES).
Security
WPEV emails have appropriate SPF and DKIM records. We use DMARC to track delivery and deliver
emails over TLS if your email server supports it.
IP Addresses
IP Addresses
We send emails from these IP addresses:
- 54.240.54.100
- 54.240.54.101
- 54.240.54.102
- 54.240.54.103
Email Addresses
All WPEV emails come from the no-reply email address app@peakon.com.
Return Path
We track email bounces using the <something>@bounce.peakon.com Return Path,
enabling us to provide alerts about email bounces so you can correct invalid
emails.
Emails to Allow
- *@bounce.peakon.com
- app@peakon.com
For Office 365 Advanced Threat Protection, set up mail flow rules to enable Office 365 to
bypass safe links when scanning emails from WPEV:
- Go . Create a new rule.
- In theApply this rule if… section, select .
- Add the IP addresses.
- In theDo the following…section, selectSet the message header to this value….
- Set the message header to: X-MS-Exchange-Organization-SkipSafeLinksProcessing and set the value to 1.
Bounce Handling
When emails soft-bounce, WPEV continues attempting to send emails, increasing the delay
between each attempt. Emails can soft-bounce because of internet connectivity
issues, target email server issues, or other temporary problems, so you don't need
to take any action.
When emails hard-bounce or permanent bounce, WPEV stops sending emails to that address, and
flags it as a bounced email address. Typos in email addresses, former employee email
addresses, or incorrect spam rejections can cause hard bounces. If the email address
is valid, you can clear the flag from the employee list.
Testing
We recommend that you test email delivery by sending test emails to a small group of
employees. This enables you to troubleshoot if you encounter any issues.
Email Filters
WPEV enables you to select a sender for survey emails. We recommend that you review your email
filters to ensure that they don't interfere with survey emails from specific
addresses. Example: An organization configures their email server filters to
identify mass emails from a single address as a spam incident. The filters block the
organization's survey emails from the CEO.
Consider reviewing other email settings that could interfere with email delivery.
Email Certifications
WPEV enables you to add certificates to emails. See: Reference: Company Account Settings.
