Set Open-Ended Question Frequency
Security: Manage questions.
When using an automatically recurring survey frequency (instead of the Manual frequency), you can control how often each employee should receive each open-ended question.
Note that if you set open-ended frequency to be more frequent than the survey frequency, the survey will take it as an instruction to ask more open-ended questions respectively.
Question frequency settings work on a per-employee basis, enabling the survey to use the frequency settings to decide when certain questions are due again, for each employee.
- Go to .
- SelectOpen-ended questions.
- ClickEditon the question that you need to configure. Example:What’s on your mind right now that you’d like to tell us?
- Select a frequency in theFrequencyfield. Example:Quarterly.
- ClickUpdate.
If you make changes to questions during a live round, the changes will reflect immediately for employees who didn't yet answer the survey.
If you select
Always
, the question will display for all eligible employees in the next (or current) survey and subsequent surveys, until you deactivate the question or change its frequency. If you select
Once
, the question will display for all eligible employees in the next (or current) survey, but never again. Employees that have already had this question in a previous survey won’t receive it if you set it to Once
now, because the question has already met this condition for that employee. For automatically recurring surveys, the timing of when the question displays can differ from 1 employee to another, depending on when the employee last answered the question.
