Create an Attribute Hierarchy
Security:

and Manage attributes
settings in the
Administer
section. These settings are only available on
All employees
group types.Account administrators and users with access to manage attributes and segments are
able to create, edit, and delete hierarchies. Peakon will automatically detect any
relationships between attributes making the setup quick and simple.
Start by identifying which attributes you’ll include in a hierarchy. Usually, the attributes with
the least number of segments are at the top of the hierarchy, gradually increasing
in segment amounts the further down you go.
- Go to .
- Open the child attribute and start creating a hierarchy.
- Select the parent segment and let Peakon suggest relationships.
- (Recommended) Select whether the hierarchy should update automatically.
You need to create a hierarchy between
Business Unit
and Department.
It
should always update automatically and stay up to date when its segments update.Go to the
Department
attribute, start a new hierarchy, and set Business Unit
as
the parent attribute. Wait for Peakon to identity relationships, and toggle on the
Update hierarchies automatically
option.
