    Option Description
    Spreadsheet
Each worksheet in a spreadsheet creates separate staging tables.
    JDBC Database
    Data from JDBC-compliant databases.

    Planning Data Source
Data from the same or another Adaptive Planning instance.
Requires creating a separate Adaptive Planning Credential. This data source is useful for organizations that have multiple instances, or that want to export to some external system.
    Workday
Data from reports in your Workday tenant.
Requires the Workday adapter and Workday Credential.
If you also create Workday External Systems with this option, you can publish plans, drill into Workday from Adaptive Planning sheets and reports.
    NetSuite
    Data from NetSuite accounts.
Requires the NetSuite adapter and NetSuite Credential.
If you also create NetSuite External Systems with this option, you can drill into NetSuite from Adaptive Planning sheets and reports.

    Microsoft Dynamics GP (MSDGP)
Data from a Microsoft Dynamics GP account.
Requires the Microsoft Dynamics GP adapter.
    Table Group
Data from existing staging tables present in different data sources.
Enables you to create joins of tables across different data sources.
    Union Table
Data from multiple existing staging tables.
Enables you to combine or stack the row data of tables when the tables come from different data sources.
    Salesforce
    Data from Salesforce accounts.
    Requires the Salesforce adapter.
    Scripted Data Source
Extracts data based on the Kettle ETL instructions that you write.
Enables you to solve complex, custom data extraction and transformation scenarios.
Requires advanced experience writing Pentaho Kettle scripts and using the Spoon UI.
    Custom Cloud Data Sources (CCDS)
Data from custom data sources authored in JavaScript to connect to internet addressable systems.
Enables you to extract data from:
    • Google Docs
