Steps: Create Calendars

Steps: Create Calendars

A calendar is a list of time-based events with a specific purpose. Example: A calendar that lists the days your offices are legally closed and employees have mandatory days off.
Applications including Workday Time Tracking, Absence Management, and Payroll can refer to calendars for holiday and work schedule information. Example: You can use a calendar to prevent employees from requesting time off on a holiday, or from requesting more hours than they're scheduled to work.
System administrators and implementers can create holiday and work schedule calendars and assign 1 or more calendars to workers.
  1. Create calendar rules to define the different populations of workers to whom you will assign holiday or work schedule calendars.
  2. You can create calendars from scratch or copy existing calendars and modify them.
  3. Example: Add holidays to holiday calendars and define daily work schedules and add them to work schedule calendars.
