Migrate Solutions Between Tenants

Migrate Solutions Between Tenants

  • Enable security for Solutions.
  • Ensure you have a valid X.509 private key pair.
  • Ensure that your user account in the destination tenant is active and has
    Put
     access to the
    Solution
     domain.
  • Review Solutions migration and sharing limits.
  • Security:
    Solution
     domain in the System functional area. You must have both
    Report/Task Permissions
     and
    Integration Permissions
     for the
    Solution
     domain security policy.
You can migrate Solutions to another tenant. Example: You can test Configurations in your Sandbox tenant, then migrate them as a Solution to your Production tenant.
  1. Access the
    View Solution
     report and select the Solution that you want to migrate.
  2. (Optional) To preview a Bulk Solution, select
    Solution
     >
    Preview Bulk Solution
     from the related actions menu.
  3. From the related actions menu, select
    Solution
    Migrate
    .
  4. Select the destination tenant and enter your active
    User Name
    .
  5. (Optional) To preview the migration, select
    Preview Migrate
     from the related actions menu.
  6. Select
    Migrate Solution
    .
    Refresh until the migration completes.
Workday migrates the Solution to the destination tenant.
Workday recommends that you test new or updated Configurations to ensure they function as expected.
Select
Review Migration
 from the related actions menu to view details about completed migrations, including:
  • A list of Configurations that Workday added, modified, or removed from the Solution during the migration.
  • When the Solution was migrated
  • Who migrated the solution.
To compare Configurations to others with a similar reference ID, select
Solution
 >
Compare Configurations
 from the related actions menu.
