Assemble Configurations into a Solution
- Security:Solutiondomain in System functional area. Include security groups in bothReport/Task PermissionsandIntegration Permissionsfor theSolutiondomain security policy.
- You must have already created the Workday Configurations that you want to package together.
- You also can take page captures of sample report output or other Workday settings. You can create supporting documents, to include with the Solution.
Create or edit a
Solution and manually add one or more Workday Configurations to the
Solution.
You can add only supported Top-Level and
Dependent Configurations.
- Perform one of these actions:
- (Create a Solution) Access theCreate Solutiontask.
- (Edit an existing Solution) Access theView Solutionreport, select the Solution from the prompt, then select as a related action on the Solution.
- (Optional) Apply one or moreTagsto identify the included Configurations by Workday feature area or by industry.Customers can filter results in theBrowse Solutionsreport using these tags.
- (Optional) To add a graphic file, select one or moreScreenshot(s)from the prompt. If there are no graphic files associated with the Solution, you can add one or more:
- From within theScreenshot(s)prompt, selectCreate Screenshot.
- (Optional) Add a description or other notes to theCommentfield.
- SelectAttachand select a graphic file.
- Enter theFile Name.
- To add any additional graphic files to the Solution, repeat this procedure.
- (Optional) To add a supporting document, select one or moreDocumentsfrom the prompt. If there are no documents associated with the Solution, you can add one or more:
- From within theDocumentsprompt, selectCreate Supporting Document.
- (Optional) Add a description or other notes to theCommentfield.
- SelectAttachand select a document file.
- Enter theFile Name.
- To add any additional documents to the Solution, repeat this procedure.
- Add 1 row for each item that you want to include in the Solution, then add a Configuration:
Option Description Configuration TypeIndicate the type of Workday artifact that you want to package. What you select determines what Configurations are available from theConfigurationprompt.ConfigurationIf you don’t have View access to the Domain that secures a specific Configuration, you can't add it to a Solution.Description(Optional) Add a description visible to anyone who sees the Solution. - Select one of these options:
Option Description Save SolutionSaves the Solution in your tenant. You can access the Solution later using theView Solutionreport.Save and PublishSaves the Solution in your tenant, and starts thePublish Solutiontask.Save and MigrateSaves the Solution in your tenant and starts theMigrate Solutiontask.
- Migrate the Solution to another tenant to which you have access.
- Publish the Solution and share it with others in the Solutions library.
