Advisors and students can explore what-if scenarios for multiple programs of study to evaluate how a student's current academic record satisfies the academic requirements for a different program of study. This evaluation provides a greater understanding of how close the student is to completing programs of study other than the ones they are currently enrolled in.
Workday evaluates academic progress for the programs of study that you or students select, comparing and providing details about course requirements and completion in a single report.
- Students can use theEvaluate Academic Requirementstask to evaluate requirements completion and program completion details. You can configure theCreate Program of Study Exploration Detailstask for students. Students can then access theEvaluate Academic Requirementstask for the programs of study you've configured for evaluation.
- Advisors can use theEvaluate Academic Requirements for Studenttask to evaluate and compare the program of study completion for a student.
The evaluation also considers whether the academic requirements configuration for the program of study you're evaluating has assigned or unassigned Student Criteria.
By default, Workday evaluates the enrolled programs of study based on the
Requirements Effective Date
, while evaluating programs the student is not currently enrolled in by Current Date
. You can select other effective dates to evaluate academic progress when exploring prospective and current programs of study. Evaluating academic progress based on the effective date that functionally applies to the student or to the program of study ensures that the results are accurate even if you update the requirements configuration. Your administrator configures the available effective dates, including the default effective date options, for both students and administrative users.- Access theEvaluate Academic Requirements for Studenttask.
