Set Up Transfer Grade Mapping Policies
- Set up student grading at your institution for the transfer grades you want to assign. See Steps: Set Up Student Grading.

You can:
- Set up policies to define how grade points from external transcripts and education test results map to internal grade equivalents at your institution.
- Configure these policies to apply to academic units and levels or individual programs of study.
Workday uses transfer grade mapping policies in transfer credit evaluations.
- Access theMaintain Transfer Grade Mapping Policytask.
- In theChoose What to Configuresection, select the highest level of the academic structure at which you want to configure the policy.When you configure a policy for a program of study or subordinate academic unit, you override the policy inherited from the superior academic unit and level, if applicable.You can:
- Create a new policy or reinherit the policy of the superior academic unit and level, as of the effective date you specify in theChoose a Definitionsection.
- Edit an existing policy, defined by the policy effective date.

For transfer credit evaluations, Workday uses transfer grade mapping policies to assign the corresponding transfer grade for transfer credit. Workday uses the policy that’s configured for the program of study or inherited from the superior academic unit and level.
