Reference: Segment Configuration Options
Option | Use Case | Considerations |
|---|---|---|
Name
| Renaming an existing segment is useful when a team changes name. | The new segment name will become visible to everyone immediately. The survey data
remains unaffected if you rename the segment before the next data
upload. If you don’t rename the segment before a data upload, Peakon
creates a new segment without historical data. |
Name localization
| It’s possible to add translations manually for segments in all dashboard languages.
Managers viewing their dashboard in a specific language will see a
localized version of the segment names. | You need to import employee data in the default language, not in the translated
language. Uploading employee data in the translated language will create
new segments. Name localization is only possible for option type
segments. You can add translations in the settings of the segment
manually. It isn’t possible to add translations through data
uploads. |
Segment scores
| Restricting segment scores controls whether an attribute is available to view on the
heat map. Example: the Human Resources team has company-level access,
but shouldn't be able to segment results of their own team. You can
restrict the Human Resources segment in the Department attribute,
without affecting other Department segments. | Users who don’t have access to view restricted attributes are still able to view a
segment from a restricted attribute if:
|
Segment logo
| When using segment branding, you can upload the segment logo. Employees of this
segment will have this logo on the survey and in survey-related
emails. | You can use this setting with survey branding. |
