Publish Solution to Solutions Library

Publish Solution to Solutions Library

  • Security:
    Solution
domain in System functional area. Include security groups in both
    Report/Task Permissions
    and
    Integration Permissions
    for the
    Solution
    domain security policy.
  • Enable the Solutions feature.
  • You must have already created the Solution that you want to publish.
Post a Solution to the Solution library for viewing and download by other customers. Once posted, other customers can view the Solution, including its contents, without requiring any approval by you. The only limits that you can apply are:
  • Anonymity: you can mask fields that display who created your Solution.
  • Download approval: you can require that any customer that wants to download your Solution request approval (using Workday notifications). You then can approve or deny each customer request.
When you publish a Solution, always review the configurations that you’re sharing to ensure that you aren’t disclosing personal information or other confidential information. Don’t use the Publish Solution functionality when you want to migrate your data or to back up your data. If you publish a Solution that contains configurations that belong to other published Solutions, Workday updates all of these Solutions when you publish. You can’t republish a Solution or configurations that someone else published already.
